(These are simple phrases that I've begun to memorize as a way to remind myself of the devastation of sin when I'm faced with temptation.)
Sin is ugly
Sin is always stupid
Sin doesn't just hurt me
Sin brings condemnation
Sin results from me believing Satan's lie
Sin separates me from God, bringing us both great pain
Here's something I'm pondering of late:
I wonder what hurts God more: my sin or the separation that takes place between us as a result of my sin. I'm beginning to think it's the latter.
