IMPACT UPDATE, Written Friday Night, 11:45 PM

Tonight we took part in the church service in el minion. We performed our king of hearts drama. Two students shared testimonies… Erica Cripe and Toby Mullet, and Todd Eby preached. Everybody did a great job.

2 people gave their lives to Christ for the first time at the close of the service, and many people responded to the challenge to take off the masks that they are wearing in life.

It was an exciting service.

Now I'll let two students share briefly about a couple of other highlights from the day:

Callie Beer:

We have only been here two days and God is already showing himself in big ways to us. We met with a little girl named Estella, and she is believed to be demon-possessed. God really put a burden for her on my heart, and I was instantly broken for her. We took time to pray over her house, and then about six of us gathered around her and prayed for her for freedom from her bondage. I know that I have personally never prayed that hard in my life. I'm so grateful for the work that God is already doing while we've been here, and I can't wait to see what else he has in store for us.

Conner Beer:

Today was very exciting because it was our very first day of VBS in the Riberas. At first I was kind of nervous that not many kids were going to show up, but then out of nowhere a handful of kids started to arrive. It was fun painting soccer balls on little boys faces because soccer is their favorite thing to do in the entire world. However the best thing about the whole experience was just seeing the pure joy on the kids faces.

God is going to great things through our team with the children while we are down here, and I'm definitely looking forward to it.
