Family Roadtrip to Fort Wayne

This afternoon all 3 of us hopped in the church mini-van and trekked to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne to visit Bethany Stutzman. Here 's are 3 things I learned along the way ...

(1) You'll never win a fight with an infant car seat. I actually had the car seat base in the church mini-van within 15 minutes. But then, in typical male fashion, I decided that it wasn't quite right. That's when the thrown down began. It went from 15 minutes - to 30 minutes - to 45 minutes - to 1 hour! A hour after I started, I emerged from the back of the mini-van sweating profusely. I may have lost the battle but I will win the war!

(2) Carlos O'Kelly's Mexican Cafe, which I had heard was a really good Mexican Restaurant, was decent but wouldn't rank among my favorite Mexican eats. I love Mexican food so I'm always looking for a new Mexican restaurant. I had heard of Carlos O'Kelly's before but had never eaten at one. On a scale from 1-5 I'd rate the following as such....

Service - 5.0
Salsa - 4.0
Chicken Tacos - 4.0
Atmosphere - 2.0
Chips - 1.5 (looked and tasted store bought)

(3) Bethany needs our prayers now more than ever. Today, Bethany officially began physical therapy and rehabilitation from injuries suffered in a car accident late last Friday night. While I have not, I'm sure anyone who has ever gone through such therapy would attest that this time can be very discouraging, tiresome and painful. You can read more about my visit today with Bethany here.
