IMPACT Update

*This is Derry... I'm the one who will be posting these updates. They are being e-mailed to me by someone who is taking the messages from Jason across the border to El Paso, then sending them out. Just wanted to let you know as you will notice a slight delay in the information reported on. Here's Jason's report:

“As I write, it is 8:00 PM here in El Minon, Mexico (or 10:00 PM back home). It has definitely been a long day (we met at NMC at 1:30 AM to depart for the the airport in Indianapolis). However, the Lord gave us a great day of travel, a little rest this afternoon as we settled into the dorm and a great first night of ministry.

Tonight we were in charge of the church service at Jesus Coranza, a nearby town/village. Although it is a small church, 3 ladies who attend the church gave their lives to Christ for the first time tonight! We could tell this was a big deal. I think we saw a glimpse of what God has in store for during our time here in Juarez. One of our drama team’s performed (Jordan Taylor, Brooke Hoover, Callie Beer, Ben Fox, Dan Dingeldein) and did a fantastic job of presenting the gospel message. Dan Dingeldein and Beki Dingeldein shared testimonies and I (Jason) gave the message.

Tomorrow we will be starting Vacation Bible School in another local area known as the Riveras. Pray that many come to know the Lord. We are doing well and excited for our first full day of ministry tomorrow.”
