Resources for Parents of Middle Schoolers (Number One)

My goal is to each Tuesday do a post titled "Resources for Parents of Middle Schoolers" that provides a tips, books, websites, articles, etc. that assist parents who are currently raising kids in this very unique and challenging age group. In this first such post, I bring to you the Center for Parent/Youth Understanding (CPYU). CPYU is a great resource for parents as one of its main goals is to "help parents understand and respond to the complex world of their children and teens from a distinctively Christian point of view."

As their website states, " At a time when an already confusing youth culture is changing quickly, CPYU helps parents, youth workers, educators, and others understand teenagers and their culture so that they will be better equipped to help children and teens navigate the challenging world of adolescence." Among other resources, CPYU also provides a Parent Page that is a monthly 2-page publication available for download that helps keep parents up to date on the latest youth culture news and information.
